Dr Richard Lobb is a translational researcher specializing in extracellular vesicle (EV) science at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), University of Queensland. As an NHMRC Investigator Fellow, his research aims to advance diagnostics in oncology and neuroscience, with a particular focus on brain and lung cancers. His work leverages advanced nanotechnologies to capture and analyse EVs for biomarker profiling for early disease detection and monitoring. In parallel, Dr Lobb is developing methods to engineer therapeutic EVs, offering potential new strategies for targeted treatment.
