Professor Larry Chamley is the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Director of the Hub for Extracellular Vesicle Investigations (HEVI) that was established in 2018 to support and promote EV research at the University of Auckland. He is the Editor of Trophoblast Research,  an Associate Editor of Reproduction and a member of the Council of the International Society for Immunology of Reproduction. His research focuses on the role of placental EVs in feto-maternal communications and especially on how the fetus controls the adaptations of the maternal cardiovascular and immune systems that are required for successful pregnancy.
